The Associazione Nautica Bagnolo San Vito (Bagnolo San Vito Nautical Association) was born in January 1997 on the initiative of a group of enthusiast lovers of the Big River, the river Po, and of the nature that surrounds it, in order to promote and motivate activities that are available by the river such as yachting and sailing in all their forms (boats, rubber dinghies, canoes, rowing boats, and so on), fishing, and the exploration of the river environment and the surrounding territory. In 2004 was born an active collaboration with Bagnolo San Vito municipality which acquired the area and the facilities, letting the Nautical Association Bagnolo San Vito run the business. In this way was born the Porto Turistico Fluviale Lauro Zampoli (Lauro Zampoli Tourist River Port) dedicated to the founder and first president of the Association.
